Everything Mezbano does
Every part of the app, grouped the way the app is. What each person sees depends on their role, and some parts depend on the plan.
Today
Open Mezbano and Today shows what needs you, most urgent first.
What needs you, most urgent first
Sales not entered, checklists and temperature checks not done, a temperature problem not fixed, prep not finished, incidents still open and days ready to sign off.
One button for each thing
Every row says what happened in plain words and has one button that goes straight to where it gets done.
Details when you want them
Pick a row to see when it is due, how many there are and which day it is from.
Only what you can do
Today lists only work your role can open, so nobody is sent to a page they can’t use.
Get set up
A short list of first steps, like your first checklist and your first temperature check, stays on Today until each one is done.
Enter
Short pages with one job each, made to work on a phone.
Record today’s sales
Copy each channel’s total from its end-of-day report. The total adds up as you type.
Delivery app fees
Give each sales channel its fee rate once. When you save the day’s sales, Mezbano works out the fee and adds it to expenses.
Add an expense
A bill, a receipt or anything else the store paid for. Take a photo of the receipt to keep with it.
Record a delivery
Pick the supplier, then fill in what arrived and what it cost. One ingredient bought on its own has a Single item tab, with a receipt photo.
In the Pro and Franchise plans.
Log hours
Enter the hours worked each day and what they were paid.
Log an incident
Write down what went wrong while you still remember it.
Write the handover
Tell the next shift what they need to know.
Safe for the whole team
Team members add and change their own entries for today. Owners and admins can change any day while its month is open.
Floor
The work that keeps the kitchen safe and the day on track.
Checklists
Opening, service and closing checklists, answered one task at a time. A task can ask for a photo or a note.
Temperature checks
Fridge, freezer and food temperature rounds. When a reading is out of range, you write down what you did about it.
Kitchen prep
Make a batch from a prep recipe. The amounts change with how many batches you make, and the batch follows the recipe as it was when you started.
In the Pro and Franchise plans.
Day sign-off
Pick a day on the calendar to see its sales, hours, floor work, incidents and handovers. See what is still open, close out what could not be finished, then sign off. If a record changes afterwards, the day needs signing off again.
Incidents
Things that went wrong and what happened next. Add updates until it is resolved; the first report stays as it was.
Handovers
The handover is written when the day is signed off and stays with that day, so the next shift and the manager can read it.
Records for inspectors
Every temperature reading and every checklist task between two dates, what was done about problems, and who finished and checked them. Print them or download them as CSV files.
Policies
Your brand’s house rules, to read or print.
Contacts
Phone numbers for suppliers, repairs and emergencies. Print a copy for the wall.
Announcements
News from your brand, pinned ones first.
Reports
Pages that show the money and change nothing, one thing on each page.
Store summary
The month so far in one sentence, with sales, food cost and prime cost.
Sales
What each day took in, newest first. Open a day to see or change it.
Expenses
Everything the store has paid for, newest first. Labour and delivery fees appear on their own.
Purchases
What the store has bought, by supplier, ingredient and date.
In the Pro and Franchise plans.
Labour
Hours, payroll and labour cost.
Profit and loss
The month in one sentence: sales, prime cost (food and labour) and profit, next to the same days last month, with a chart of daily sales. Print it when you need paper.
Close the month
Check the month is complete, then close it. Its sales, expenses, deliveries and hours stay locked until the store owner reopens it.
Activity log
Who changed what, and when.
CSV exports
Download sales, expenses, labour, purchases, profit and loss and the activity log as CSV files for your accountant.
Team & settings
Who can do what, and how your store is set up.

See who has not joined yet, then send the invitation again or cancel it.
Store settings
The store’s name, region and time zone, sales channels and expense items.
Shift schedules
Choose which checklists and temperature checks each shift runs, and who does them.
Your account
Your profile, password, two-step sign-in and whether Mezbano looks light or dark.
Brands and many stores
Set the standard once for every store, and see each store’s day side by side.
More than one store takes the Franchise plan.
Home
All your stores and brands, and what needs you, in one place.
Brand summary
How each store is doing today, and everything that needs you across the brand, most urgent first.
Readiness by store
Each store’s last seven days side by side, with the days that are signed off and the ones that are not.
Menu costs across stores
Every dish’s list price, its cost from the brand’s ingredient prices, its recipe food cost, and the stores that sell it at a different price.
In the Pro and Franchise plans.
Brand recipes
Write and publish menu and prep recipes once for every store. A store can keep its own version when it needs one.
In the Pro and Franchise plans.
Ingredient prices
The brand’s standard ingredient prices, which every store starts from.
In the Pro and Franchise plans.
Import ingredients
Bring in your ingredient list and prices from a spreadsheet. See what each row will do before anything is saved.
In the Pro and Franchise plans.
Checklist library
Write the checklists your stores run.
Starter packs
Start from ready-made opening and closing checklists, food-safety temperature checks and a starter set of policies.
Canadian or US dollars
A brand keeps its money in Canadian or US dollars, one currency for all its stores, and the brand summary adds up every store.
Billing
Your plan and payment for the whole account.
Security and trust
What the app does to keep your records safe. The security page explains each one.
Two-step sign-in
Anyone can add a code from an authenticator app to their sign-in.
Sign-in rules for a store
A store can require two-step sign-in from its owners and admins before they can use it.
Ask our team to set it up for your store.
Company sign-in (SSO)
Your team can sign in with your company’s own login (OIDC or SAML) once your email domain is checked with a DNS record. A store can then make it the only way in.
Not part of a plan: set up by arrangement with our team.
Where you are signed in
See each phone and computer signed in to your account, and sign out any you don’t recognise.
A record of every protected change
Changes to sales, expenses, costs, roles and settings record who made them and when. When Mezbano support works as you, the record keeps their name.
Closed months stay closed
A closed month is locked in the database, not just on the screen. Only the store owner can reopen it.
No silent overwrites
If someone changed a recipe, a checklist or a day’s sales after you opened it, your save stops and says so instead of overwriting their work.
Each brand’s data stays its own
Every signed-in page checks your store, your role and your plan on the server, so another brand can’t see or reach your records.
Privacy requests
Ask us to show, correct, export or delete your personal data, and we keep track of the request until it is done.
Nightly backups
The app backs up its database every night, and keeps a backup only once its files are written and checked.
Made for everyone
Easy for the newest cook on their first shift and for the owner closing the month.
Plain words
Every page says what it is for in everyday words, and every button says what it does.
Big, easy buttons
Every button is at least 44 pixels across, big enough to tap with busy hands.
Letters that are easy to read
Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface made to tell similar letters apart, and no text you need to read is smaller than 15 pixels.
Made for the phone
Today, Enter, Floor and Reports sit one tap away at the bottom of the screen, and the save button stays in reach.
On your home screen
Add Mezbano to your phone’s home screen and it opens like an app.
Light or dark
Pick light or dark, or let Mezbano follow your device.
Accessibility built in
Made to WCAG 2.2 AAA wherever it can be met and AA everywhere else: strong contrast in both themes, a clear focus outline, and made to work from a keyboard. Every kind of page is checked with automated tests.
Nothing times out on you
Messages stay until you close them. If you are signed out halfway through a form, what you typed comes back after you sign in.
Search or jump
Search for any page, or jump straight to it, from the top of every screen.
Help on every page
The Help panel explains the page you are on, without leaving it.
Made for pizzerias, quick-service restaurants and small franchises
Built in Nova Scotia, Canada, for kitchens where a few grams of cheese on every order decide the month. These guides explain the numbers Mezbano works out for you.
See it with one of your dishes
Bring a recipe and how your store runs a day. We will show you where Mezbano fits, and what it leaves to your team.
